Disney’s Boardwalk Resort Family Session

There is certainly no shortage of stunning places for family photos in Orlando, but the fact that Mileena & Kieth had their first date at the Boardwalk Resort made this location even sweeter.

A big concern I get from clients is that they don’t want their photos to look like they are on vacation. One of the best parts of this resort is all the nooks and crannies that don’t inundate you with Disney the whole time. We can enjoy all the magic, but then easily grab shots that look more neutral. We love a postcard ‘we-wish-you-were-here’ moment, but I also like to get those classic portraits that don’t scream tourist. ;)

How do I avoid looking like a tourist in my vacation photos?

  1. My first recommendation is to schedule your session the first or second full day of your trip. Your family will feel fresh, free of sunburns but still giddy to be out everywhere.

  2. Accessorize well! You might not need a stunning dress, cute shoes, and jewelry on your park days, but good accessories will elevate your session. Don’t forget good shoes for all the kids too!

  3. Planning your outfits ahead, and following my family guide will help you feel so prepared. It can be easy to switch of your brain and pop into vacation mode, so knowing you’ve planned everything ahead will bring the peace of mind you need. I advise packing all your photoshoot outfits together so nothing gets lost!
