Intimate Wedding at the Marin County Civic Center
California is truly blessed with stunning places for a civil wedding ceremony- The iconic Beverly Hills Civic Center, the Spanish inspired Santa Barbara County Courthouse, and elegantly dazzling San Francisco City Hall to name just a few! We have no shortage of options for stunning venues, but architecturally (and fully acknowledging my bias here) the Marin Civic Center truly stands apart.
While people busily fill in all the spaces of San Francisco, the long draping hallways of the Marin Center in San Rafael seem frozen in time. Administrative employees will poke their heads out to congratulate you on your nuptials, a library patron will pause to help a groom affix flowers to his lapel, and families will lean over the balconies to catch a glimpse of the stunning couple.
Unlike most city hall weddings (looking at you, San Francisco!) Marin isn’t strict about how many guests attend your ceremony. Having an outdoor ceremony we were able to move the chairs over, creating a beautiful, impromptu wedding space.
