Storybook Wedding at the Walt Disney Family Museum

I’m a HUGE fan of Disney weddings- I truly cannot get enough of the princess styled gowns, unique venues, and guests enjoying a mouse shaped snack- however not every Disney lover wants to exchange vows in a theme park.

For Jen & Brian, the goal was to bring the storybook elements of their love story to life. From the bold pops of color, bespoke wedding invitations, and focus on shapes & textures, every bit of this wedding was bursting with personality. Guests enjoyed stunning views of the Golden Gate Bridge during the ceremony and were delighted to enjoy the museum privately during cocktail hour.

The color palette was wholly inspired by Mary Blair, a pivotal Disney artist who is the genius behind many of your favorite classics, including Peter Pan, Cinderella, and Alice in Wonderland. Lucky for us, the Walt Disney Family Museum had a Mary Blair exhibit on display for guests to enjoy during cocktail hour!

I am still in awe of the craftsmanship and skills of Reesey Studio, who designed a custom invitation suite full of stunning details and thoughtful homages to the bride & groom.

We couldn’t have a wedding in the San Francisco Presidio without stopping by Lucasfilm and taking portraits with Master Yoda and some droids! This location is walking distance from the museum, and a must see for any Star Wars fan!

The private portrait session in the museum galleries had to be a highlight of my day! This museum is incredibly special. For a huge fan who grew up coming here, it was so much fun to see it through their guests eyes!

This day was intentionally designed from the start. A huge thank you to Caitlin & Carla from the Walt Disney Family museum, and Caitlin from Caitlin McDonald Events! Every vendor was immensely pivotal in bringing this day to life, and I highly recommend each and every one to any couple looking to have just as beautiful of a wedding. Steal these vendors!!
