A Family Session at Turtle Bay
As a photographer, there are certain photoshoots that stick with you long after the session is over. The S Family is one such family that I had the pleasure of photographing this past March while visiting Oahu.

Yosemite Engagement - Cindy & Erick
This day in Yosemite National Park felt like a dream. Warm spring weather with a snow capped Half Dome, a magical and rare day that you can sunbathe and snow sled in the same hour.

Kahihae Florals
One of the most striking parts of the Hawaiian Islands are the lush and vibrant array of flowers. Growing in every crevice they can, flowers and greenery take over every street and sidewalk they can. Flowers have always been a part of Checka’s life, growing up on the island and tending a garden with her grandmother.

Jane Austen Wedding
The sun was shining, the birds fluttering through the air, and you could almost hear the Pride and Prejudice theme song playing in the distance. This stunning event was brought together with the most phenomenal vendors, giving us the most vibrant and fun day! Planned down to the detail and an absolute joy to photograph. This was the perfect way to kick off the most amazing spring!

Citrus Bridal Shower
Orange ya glad it’s almost summer time? How fun is this stunning bridal shower?! Hosted at a private residence in Oakland, California, this party was planned down to the detail. Vibrant macaroons, fragrant citrus, custom cocktails, and a bouquet bar thrilled the beautiful bride of honor and her guests. It was a stunningly beautiful day/ Take a scroll for some summer inspiration!

O’ahu Oceanside Vow Renewal
After 6 years of marriage, two beautiful babies, and multiple military moves across the world, K&N renewed their vows on the beautiful bluffs on the north shores of O’ahu, Hawaii. You’d never believe it, but the last time they had formal photos was their wedding day back in 2016. The two were naturals in front of the camera.

Sedona Elopement
Sedona is a place near and dear to my heart. I’m always drawn to it despite the photography challenges it presents. Strenuous hikes, heat, and a unique red rock that absorbs bouncing light, but it’s all ALWAYS worth it in the end. This adventure with S&C was as magical as always, and presented a wonderful opportunity to embrace these challegnges and create a beautiful memory.

A Love Letter to San Francisco
I’ve been lucky to call San Francisco my home since the day I was born. This city, with its own unique highs and lows, always leaves such an impression on anyone who comes to visit. From the winter sunbathers in golden gate park to the summertime wind and fog, I cherish all the wonderful vignettes of life here.
This day was no exception. With heavy rain forecast for us all day, we had to make some last minute pivots. Even when the sun came out we kept to our rain plan as the weather was going to be unpredictable. I couldn’t imagine anything better.

A Filoli Engagement Session
During my first consultation call with M & M, this beautiful bride mentioned a Jane Austen aesthetic for the inspiration for their summer wedding. Oh boy did I take that sliver of info and run with it! I mentioned Filoli as being a perfect backdrop for an engagement session that would compliment this theme. If you know me you know I love being here and will find any excuse to come enjoy this property!

South Mountain Sunsets
Nothing beats an Arizona sunset. Whenever I get the opportunity to show friends some of my favorite spots near Phoenix I always take them to the South Mountain! It’s become a wild hotspot in the past couple of years. Grant and I had our own engagement session there in 2016 and we had nearly the whole mountain to ourselves. Despite its well deserved spike in popularity, the spot is still such a treat to photograph.

A Cozy Vineyard Wedding
Ali and Greg shared the sweetest, coziest fall wedding at Oak Farm Vineyards in Sonoma. Surrounded by beautiful trees and an idyllic pond, the quiet vineyard was the perfect backdrop for the two to exchange vows.

Ethereal Maternity Session
It is not an easy feat to mentally prepare for your maternity photos. After months of physical, emotional, and hormonal changes it can take a lot of courage to put on a dress and pretend to be who you were seven or eight months ago, but luckily this woman is not shy of a challenge. I could sense she was not quite feeling like herself when we first started chatting (yet she still absolutely ROCKED this session, sheesh!) but something she said at the end of this beautiful sunset truly lodged within my heart and made me so, so proud:

Villa Siena Arizona Wedding
Talk about a breath of fresh air for Arizona weddings! Don’t get me wrong, I love the desert landscape and those sweeping, dramatic sunsets, but the Villa Siena is the sweetest hidden gem of a venue, and the perfect spot for Matt and Ivy to celebrate with their loved ones.

Madonna Inn Wedding
Kim & John exchanged vows on a gorgeous, sunshiney spring day at the Madonna Inn. This historic hotel has become beloved in the SLO area (and beyond!) for its bright, quirky architecture and decadently themed rooms.

Evan & Giorgia

Dez & Jeremiah, The Astro Motel Elopement
The Astro Motel is truly Santa Rosa’s best kept secret. The property has been immaculately refurbished down to the last detail, with so many fun surprises in every corner. The orange and blue color scheme give a playful retro Palm Springs vibe while still feeling fresh and accessible. As much as I love some mid-century kitsch you don’t need to be a die-hard retro fan to enjoy this space.

S&J, Mill Creek

The Palace of Fine Arts
A perfect sunset in San Francisco is a rare and wonderful thing. Viktoria and Rajeev braved the city on a blustery fall day, and we were rewarded with such a breathtaking evening.

In Case of a Rainy Wedding Day
If you are a type-A, June-Wedding type bride I can already hear you coming. I get it, rain on your wedding sounds like the worst possible outcome for a day that you have been looking forward to for so long. But I’m here to tell you, rainy wedding days are just as special, beautiful, and wonderful as any other! Here is my practical guide for what to do if it rains on your wedding day.

Stuart & Nafiseh, day-after Wedding Portraits
A day-after session doesn’t necessarily have to be the day after your wedding. It’s perfect if you want your bouquet and jewelry all in the same place, but we can schedule these up to a month after your big day. It’s best to not schedule them too far out, that way you’re more likely to receive these images along with your wedding day album. If that isn't important, some couples schedule this session a year after as a way to celebrate their anniversary.
